This Sunday we are going to study Psalm 23 and seek to answer one question…”What are the benefits of living a Christian Life?”
Think about that question for a bit. What is the benefit? We can speak about JOY but what if you aren’t experiencing any joy currently? We can talk about the PEACE we get from a relationship with God, but what if your world is anything but peaceful?
The sad thing is…a lot of us may know the answer, we just aren’t living or experiencing the answer.
Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
If the Lord is truly my shepherd, then I shouldn’t be in want. If I am in want, then is the Lord really my shepherd?
To truly not just know the answer, but to experience and live the answer (What are the benefits of living a Christian life?) we need to know the shepherd a bit more, what does a shepherd do for his flock, and how can we allow God to fully be our shepherd?
It’s time that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, fully live the benefits. We need to once and for all exchange our fear, anxiety and worry and trade them in for confidence and contentment.
